Hunting
From Torn City
Hunting is a money-making method for those that have achieved a level of 15. When the character has reached this point, a Travel Agency will appear on the town page. By clicking on it, the player is able to hunt by using the Travel Agency to travel to Cape Town, South Africa. There, in addition to shopping options, the player will also have the option of using 10 energy and some money to go hunting.

[edit] Procedure and hunting levels
Hunting involves converting your energy to cash. Each hunt will give money according to your skill and hunt level and increase your hunting skill. Recommended skills for different levels.
- 0-30: Beginner
- 30-60: Standard
- 60-100: Advanced
At the maximum skill level, a single advanced hunt will give 55k on average.
Note: Hunting was changed significantly some time ago. Now a single advanced hunt will generate 15k on average, with a hunting skill of over 80. While not as profitable as it used to be, hunting is still the fastest way to make money in TornCity.

Due to rounding error (See bugs for more details) hunting skill gains are different from what you see. The 'intended' column is what the game says you've gained, and the 'actual' column is the actual gain. Skill level is the lowest skill level for that gain.

Obviously, you can't train or do crimes in South Africa, so your stats and criminal record will not improve.
[edit] Hunting-related bugs
Hunting is affected by several bugs, most notable are listed here.
[edit] 89.01 skill
Due to a simple rounding error, hunting skill will not progress beyond 89.01. Cause of the flaw is rounding of the three decimal hunting skill gain into a two decimal hunt skill. At 89.00 skill, skill gain drops to 0.003 which is rounded to 0.00. Several administrators are aware of this issue, however no fix has been promised.

A group of hunters calculated monetary value of each animal hunted. The conclusion was that lion had value of zero. This issue has been forwarded to administrators but, like the previous one, no fix has been promised.
